The food we ordered was more than we could ever expect, I got the caprese dinner with chicken and my husband got the special( a strip steak with red pepper sauce and crispy onions on top) both dishes were cooked to perfection, we were pleasantly surprised when the chef came around and asked us how are dinner was, this is something we have only seen at most high rated restaurants. The overall restaurant is amazing in decor and very enticing, we sat on the outside deck and waited for our server. I'm not sure if there were stools at the bar, but if there were, there would only be space for 3 or 4 - it's a short bar - and I think it's mainly just to serve those seated at tables, but there was someone dedicated to the bar while we were there. My husband and I went here for dinner this past Friday thinking we would try something new. There was a small bar behind the other side of our table (the place is called cozy cottage for a reason - the seating is kind of packed in there - but I like the cozy feel). I quite like music if it's not intrusive, so this was just fine by me. He was directly behind me (we're talking get up too quickly and I'd shunt the chair into his mic), but it wasn't too loud to have conversation. There was a folk-guitar player who played and sang (this was a Friday evening, mid-December). My short ribs were ridiculously good, as well. We had a tasty flat-bread appetizer that was fantastic. It's a casual, cozy restaurant with a great menu. Great recommendation! It's an unassuming looking little house from the front, but the back porch/patio is all enclosed and functions 4-seasons as indoor space. We only found out about this place from a colleague who recommended it for our date night.
